Regional workshop on water resources management for parliamentarians (Algeria-Morocco-Tunisia), December 3-4, 2020

The Sahara and Sahel Observatory and GIZ organized an online workshop for parliamentarians from the three countries affected by the CREM project: Algeria-Morocco-Tunisia. Mr. Manfred Matz, Head of Mission of the CREM-GIZ project, Tunis and Mr. Khatim Kherraz, Executive Secretary of the Sahara and Sahel Observatory opened the workshop.

This regional information workshop on water resources, organized within the framework of the "Regional cooperation for a sustainable water resources management in the Maghreb" project aimed to inform parliamentarians on issues related to the Sustainable Water Resources Management – SWRM in the Maghreb through presentations, to introduce the legislative elements related to water and their enforcement and to identify the expectations of parliamentarians in terms of data and information (content and form) allowing them to better understand the SWRM related issues.
