The OSS receives visit of the Minister of the Environment of Tunisia, Tunis, May 20, 2020
The Minister of the Environment of Tunisia, Mr. Chokri Ben Hassan, paid a courtesy visit to the OSS on Wednesday May 20, 2020. He was greeted by Mr. Khatim Kherraz, Executive Secretary along with senior officials of the organization.
The visit, particularly warm & friendly, began with a quick overview of the OSS mission & actions in Africa & Tunisia in sustainable natural resources management & climate finance, the meetings focused on the organization of the next meetings of the OSS bodies, which had to be postponed due to the COVID 19 pandemic related-situation. Tunisia & the OSS are planning to make of the next General Assembly, an event with an African scope that will bring together all its member countries & partners.
Mr. Chokri Ben Hassen had a walk in the offices & personally greeted all the OSS experts & staff. The Minister congratulated the OSS for its action & reaffirmed Tunisia’s support for the organization.
The meeting with Mr. Chokri Ben Hassan proceeded with a field visit to the location made available to the OSS for the extension of its premises.
Mr. Kherraz took this opportunity to reiterate his thanks to the Republic of Tunisia, as host country of the OSS, since the transfer of its headquarters to Tunis in 2000.
