On the occasion of its participation in World Water Week 2019, the Sahara and Sahel Observatory presented, at a side event organized by the Federal Institute of Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) Germany, the potential of remote sensing in groundwater monitoring.
The representative of the OSS, Mr. Mustapha Mimouni, expert in remote sensing, showed on this occasion the contribution of remote sensing in the monitoring of water withdrawals for agricultural use with a focus on the experience in Algeria, reviewing challenges, results and perspectives.
