The 2nd Regional Workshop on the Evaluation of the NEXUS Process in the North Western Sahara Aquifer System - SASS, took place from 18 to 19 June 2019 in Hammamet, Tunisia.
Organized by the Secretariat of the Water Convention (UNECE), the Global Water Partnership in the Mediterranean (GWP - Med) and the Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) with the participation of the SASS consultation mechanism and the support of the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, this workshop brought together officials and experts from water, energy, agriculture and the environment, as well as international experts from the three countries sharing the SASS aquifer, namely Algeria, Libya and Tunisia.
